bed & breakfast

the doghouse
New for 2007 - our Bed & Breakfast is now up and running! The Doghouse (yes, I christened it) is in a former stable yard, right next door to The Black Horse.

Massively convenient for business guests - the train to London and the M25, M40 and M4 motorways are all within ten minutes, plus there's a great cab service detailed on the Contacts page. And if you're looking for a really rural week-end break with great walks and scenery, look no further!

And all at barking mad prices - just £50 a night for single occupancy, £75 for two.

fairly exclusive...
Three double rooms and a small double suite, all with en suite bath / shower and all decorated and furnished in February. Look closely to appreciate my taste - you'll spot a canine theme running throught the furnishings and pictures...

make yourself comfy
All rooms have tea and coffee-making facilities, plus a flat-screen TV - the one in this room pivots so it can be watched from either the bed or the armchair.

a proper snoring area
Upstairs, more crisp white walls, offset by soft furnishings in a very tasteful shade of Mastiff-ear Brown. Plus lots more doggie pictures....

and its sparkling new bathroom
Shake off that deep sleep with a piping hot shower. I prefer a good roll in a nice dirty puddle myself - but chacun à son goût, as a poncey Poodle mate of mine often says.

a touch of class
The upstairs landing is presided over by my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grand-uncle Lackaday, who was knighted by Queen Victoria in recognition of his dedication to digging holes in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

Odd that he doesn't look much like me...

hardly relaxing at all
Outside, two restful seats to take advantage of the sun - on the left is for browsing the papers after breakfast, while the one on the right is just perfect for that gin and tonic sundowner before you stroll next door for dinner.

Or you could hook up to our wireless Internet connection and do some al fresco surfing; see my humans for details.

febs or fibs?
And in the morning, breakfast is just about whatever you want, served by my glamourous assistant at just about whatever time you want. The most stressful part of your day might be choosing between the Full English and the Full Irish.
